Windows 11 Upgrade from Windows 10 using Microsoft Windows Update option

This process could take 1 – 3 hours, depending on individual PC.

image.png Click or press on Windows logo image.png and then click on settings (gear icon) image.png

 Click on “Update & Security” in Windows Setting screen.

Check for Windows 11 installation or if Windows11 installation is already showing, click on “Download and install” button.

If a new window popped up for Software Licence Terms, click on “Accept and install” button

Microsoft will start downloading and continue automatically with installation process behind the scenes without interrupting users. 


Progress of Download / Installation can be seen In Windows Setting -> Update & Security screen.

Once everything has been completed, a new window will pop up asking users to restart to complete Windows 11 upgrade OR user can proceed by clicking on “Restart Now” OR schedule 
to restart the PC by clicking on “Schedule the restart".

Please close all the applications (such as Excel, Outlook, Web browsers etc.) before and click on “Update and restart” to finalise Windows 11.


Restarting can be done from Windows Power option as well.
